RŌNIN is a mythic, samurai-inspired RPG drenched in folklore and bloodshed—compatible with MÖRK BORG and built on fast, rules-light gameplay.
Set in Kage no Shima, a cursed island where yōkai roam and an eternal eclipse darkens the skies; you play as fallen warriors—rōnin, shinobi, monks, and more—seeking redemption, revenge, or glory through honour-bound choices and brutal combat.
With unique mechanics like resurrection, seppuku, and parrying, plus a rich system of bushido-driven roleplay, RŌNIN blends cinematic action with grim storytelling. Fight monsters from Japanese myth, wield distinctive weapons, explore an immersive world, and dive into a rulebook overflowing with art, lore, and chaos.
RŌNIN, written & designed by Sacha Lightfoot, with graphic design by Dominic Riozzi, is available from Slightly Reckless Games as a 128-page full-colour hardcover book with an RRP of £35.00. A PDF edition is also available for digital adventurers with an RRP of £15.00.
