In order to celebrate Zaya finally being CANON, I put together this video... I must have lost my mind because I made a 16 min Zaya video and I cant upload it all at once because itll take 20+ hours to render... and so I have to cut it into parts. Ill probably upload the rest later.
P.S. Im sorry if the song repeating is annoying, its also really fitting because it did take them a THOUSAND years to get together, so...
Im going to write a little speech here, so bare with me: WE MADE IT!!! All Zaya shippers since S11.5, WE FINALLY MADE IT!!! And those of you who only recently started shipping these two, Im just going to say how LUCKY you are you didnt have to go through 3-4 of pain and misery!!! And we should all know Zig and Maya have a tragic and yet beautiful love story :3 I have just always known that something would always happen with these two. All the signs were clearly there! Tori, Katie, Cam, Miles, Zoe, Tristan, Grace, and Vince ALL SAW IT! That was way too many people to be delusional. I have to say the most painful season was S13, obviously. Maya kept denying feelings and I was just patiently waiting for when she was going to admit it! Grace finally pulled it out of her!!! She has been trying to push it out of Maya since S13, JFC. Im just so thankful I wasnt crazy and knew Zaya would eventually happen! I love how all Zaya shippers stuck together and cried over this painful ship for years. We definitely got more louder when Maya admitted her feelings + the big kiss! I remember how I was in the minority, quietly shipping Zaya while Camaya/Matlingsworth were so loved... which I never got. I NEVER SHIPPED ANY OF THE OTHER THIRD PARTIES. I just think Zig and Maya have this chemistry that Zori, Camaya, Matlingsworth, and Zoemund never had! I guess Im just one to NOT ship the popular ships... I just ship whatever the hell I want. Ill always love these two precious. Theyre seriously relationship goals!!! They have this emotional connection where they dont even need dialogue for you to know what theyre thinking/feeling. Zig is Mayas rock. He is the only one constant in her life. While she was self-destructing, he saved her from herself. Maya also saved Zig, too by going to lengths to get him out of the gang. Maya said they PROTECT EACH OTHER and I am still NOT over Zig showing up at the spa for Maya just so that she wouldnt be alone!!! Hes seriously the sweetest and Maya was so touched and kept giving him heart eyes :) The thing I love most about these two is that they were friends FIRST, and then took the time to fall in love. Best friends who fall in love make the best relationships (except for Dawson/Joey because good god...) Even after all the crap theyve been through together, they managed to still stay in each others lives, which is so important because in S13, it seemed like they were drifting apart, but then they ended up LIVING together. And even Mayas mom believed her when she said she and Zig were in love because ONCE YOU LIVED WITH SOMEONE, EVERYTHING CHANGES. You get to know all their secrets and things that you never once knew before. These two have literally been through EVERYTHING together: death, heart-ache, pain, misery, etc! Zaya is the most well-developed relationship on Degrassi, and nobody can tell me otherwise!")

And in the end, she realizes she could never replace Josh and that in another lifetime, they could be together.")

I already said what I needed to say on my twitter but Jane and Raf are finally engaged. 5 seasons of blood, sweat, and tears. The way Raf got everyone involved during family game night was perfect. I cant believe he remembered the mermaid costume Jane wore back in the pilot... that is love, my friends. Im a huge sucker for flashbacks so I loved the proposal because of it. Rafs not rich anymore so it was a dollar tree ring but STILL... how happy Jane was and kept throwing it in everyones face was priceless.
I couldnt stop smiling. Jafael was hot, cute, flirty, playful, and angsty all in one ep. We were fed so well.
Im also happy they talked about what happened in Montana. I was afraid we wouldnt get Rafs POV on that whole situation because I felt it was really important to address his insecurities... S2 was a dark time and Im relieved we never have to go back (well... I have to when I rewatch the show but Ill laugh through the pain, okay?) Jane and Raf have A++++ communication and thats one of the things I love about them.
Can we also talk about Jane saying she chose Rafael and will keep choosing him every single day for the rest of their lives?! It goes back to Janes speech at her parents wedding and she looked at Raf when she said that. I cant believe we finally got this parallel. Im LIVING for it... so I included it in my vid :)
Anyways, Jane and Raf fighting over Petra was fun and Im happy shes going to be Rafs best woman because despite how dysfunctional their relationship has been, Petra has always been a constant in Rafs life so it makes the most sense.
That little pretend wedding they did for Mateo was the sweetest thing ever! Im really happy we had that because were getting 2 weddings, basically xD
Jane and Rafaels story is about fate/destiny and how no matter how hard they try not to love each other, they cant help it. They always find their way back to each other even after years and years apart. And they always choose each other in the end, no matter what obstacles stand in their way.

Ive been working on this video for about a month or so. I started it but didnt finish it until Bay Window aired. So... fetus Riley said she wanted a handsome prince who will treat her like a princess and then present Riley called Farkle handsome and said he saved my life twice. (Stydia parallel :)) I think the writers are not even trying to hide the fact Farkle has ALWAYS ;) been Rileys handsome prince who is also her hero, but Riley was too blind to see that because she was looking through a microscope the entire time... And now shes slowly, but surely starting to see Farkle in a new light. It was also RILEY of all people who called Farkle handsome (I was hoping eventually she would, but I honestly thought it would be in Season 3. And I still believe the plot twist in Ski Lodge will be Riarkle). This ship sails itself. And I had to laugh when they brought up the brother thing again and smol Farkle was like NO, THE OTHER! coughLucascough. I honestly think Riley will just eventually see Lucas as a FRIEND and the brother thing is just a way of saying she wont see him as her Prince Charming when she gets older. And I loved how Topanga put her old teddy bear and Lucas boot away as something to look back to one day... meaning, Lucas would only be a memory (romantically speaking) because Topanga said Riley wont be able to grow unless she lets go of the past and start moving forward; no holding back *winkwinkhinthintnudgenudge* ;)
