Romulus is the man credited with founding Rome - he and his brother Remus were descendants of Mars the god of War and Venus the goddess of love. The two boys were raised by a wolf and then they decided to make a city, but couldn’t agree on where to put it. Romulus started building Rome on his own, Remus said his city was stupid, so Romulus murdered him. That’s Romulus’ personality in a nutshell - Rome was founded as an asylum for fugitives and criminals, and when it occurred to him that there weren’t enough women in that crowd to keep up the city’s population, he kidnapped women from other cities. What a hero.
