That's what a Baptist Minister named Robert Jeffress believes--and his comment is forcing the field of Republican presidential candidates to discuss the subject of religion and, more specifically, the definition of Christianity.
Jeffress, a Rick Perry supporter, made the comments late last week and reiterated them on Sunday. Romney has said the Mormon faith is legitimately Christian and that calling it anything else is simply poisonous rhetoric that divides Republicans, and all Americans.
Yet as the race for president tightens, a deeper scrutiny of Romney's religious beliefs has only just begun.
