In Australia, plastic or multi-layer pipes are often used for installations. To join these, we developed a tool for our customer Reece in cooperation with Rehau: The ROMAX Axial tool joins pipes quickly and powerfully.
This tool works differently from the last two new press machines: The ROMAX 4000 and the ROMAX Compact TT are radial press machines – they press the fitting around the pipe and thereby make the joint tight.
The ROMAX Axial Tool has its name from the axial pressing motion. In the pressing motion, a fitting is pushed over a pipe in an axial motion as opposed to the radial pressing motion of the ROMAX 4000 and ROMAX Compact TT.

Dieses Werkzeug funktioniert anders als die beiden letzten Neuheiten in der ROTHENBERGER Presstechnologie: Die ROMAX 4000 und die ROMAX Compact TT sind radiale Pressen – sie drücken das Fitting rund um das Rohr zu und machen die Verbindung dadurch dicht.
Die ROMAX Axial ist eine axiale Pressmaschine. Beim axialen Pressen wird eine Muffe über ein Rohr geschoben. Anschließend wird das Rohr aufgeweitet und über das Fitting gesteckt. Dann schiebt man die Muffe an das aufgeweitete Rohrende heran und setzt die Pressmaschine an. Die Pressmaschine schiebt die Muffe über das Rohr und dichtet die Verbindung dadurch ab.
