They had a world where they woke up in the sunshine.
They had a path on which they walked with pride and freedom in combine.
They had a family that loved, laughed and played together.
They had a home where they slept in peace and all-loving-weather.
They had a future which laid their children’s foundation like a hope-breather.
The presence of Rohingya is blighted by a deep, dark world,
one where the sun never shines;
the path paved with thorns and bones;
the family torn apart, few left in one;
the home with no peace;
the future found nowhere in piece.
Within the wall of darkness holds
the open Apartheid State controlled
by the men in uniforms uncontrolled,
the concentration camps in wield,
the mass killing fields,
the burned houses,
the bulldozed villages and mosques,
the charred babies,
the raped, burned women’s bodies,
the mutilated men’s bodies.
On the other side of the wall of darkness rests
the largest refugee camp where
a million Rohingya trapped in the horror,
haunted by the terror,
in the darkest world of error,
chased by disasters in many forms,
and rushed in sending back to the men in uniforms
where the ghosts of terror grow stronger;
the souls of victims weep louder;
the safety and justice is nowhere near
which they most fear.
No light to shine the path of darkness.
No sunshine emerges to break the wall of darkness.
Nobody wills to Protect the Rohingya.
No one sets up the light of justice for the Rohingya.
Yet they crave for the hope of light
among those who hold the grain of kindness in bright
to break through the wall of darkness aright.

![Thura Aung Ko: Myanmars Islamophobic Minister of Relgious Affairs | English & Burmese Subtitles
THURA AUNG KO: MYANMARS ISLAMOPHOBIC MINISTER OF RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS [English and Burmese Subtitles]
His Islamophobic remarks came while he was paying homage to the late Buddhist nationalist monk Myaing Gyi Ngu Sayadaw in Karen State on November 27. The divisive minister referred Islam an extreme religion.
The minister stated that there is danger and the domination of non-Buddhist community in our Buddhist country, and called on the Buddhist monks during the funeral ceremony on Tuesday to amend the monogamy law drawn on patriotic view to prevent charging of Buddhists and the dominance of non-Buddhist communities.
He also mentioned that Interfaith dialogue is not because of our compassion for other religions but to avoid the sanction that is placed by the international community and UN.
He is often seen paying homage to extremist Buddhist monks such as Wirathu.
Aung Ko, who calls himself a pure Buddhist, plays an important role in the rise of Islamophobia, hate speech and violence since he was appointed as Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs in 2011 under the Myanmar Military-back government. He was handpicked by Aung San Suu Kyi and promoted to Minister of Religious Affairs and Culture in 2016.
On his first day as the minister in April 2016, he stated that Muslims will only be considered as associate citizens rather than full citizens in Myanmar.

![Truth vs Lie: Governments Recognition of Rohingya
Burma’s falling into the hands of Dictator Ne Win in 1962, erupted a volcanic lie on the existence of Rohingya through propagandas, politics and laws.
His successive military regimes continued the legacy of lie - “There is no Rohingya.”
“We don’t have a people called Rohingya”, [July 13, 2013] become the favourite phrase of Thein Sein’s government.
Endorsing the lie, the current commander-in-chief of Burma, Min Aung Hlaing, said, “As we have said before, there are no Rohingya.” [May 13, 2016]
Even the Nobel Peace Laureate and Woman above the current President, Aung San Suu Kyi, “Doesn’t want to hear” the term ‘Rohingya’. [May 6, 2016]
They continue to lie and ignore the existence and recognition of Rohingya by Governments in Post-Independence Era.
The truth is Rohingya existed and recognized as an Ethnic group of Burma.
Following Independence, the first elected President of Burma, Sao Shwe Thaike, said, “Muslims of Arakan (Rohingyas) certainly belong to one of the indigenous races of Burma.... In fact, there is no pure indigenous race in Burma, if they do not belong to indigenous races of Burma, we also cannot be taken as indigenous races of Burma
He was not alone. U Nu, the first Elected Prime Minister of Burma announced in September 28, 1954, “The people living in northern Arakan are our national brethren. They are called Rohingyas. They are on the same par in the status of nationality with Kachin, Kayah, Karen, Mon, Rakhine and Shan.
U Ba Swe, the second Prime Minister of Burma assured Rohingya in November 4, 1959. “The Rohingya has the equal status of nationality with Kachin, Kayah, Karen, Mon, Rakhine and Shan.”
Unlike Min Aung Hlaing, Brigadier Aung Gyi, Vice Chief of Staff of Burma Armed Forces, observed the Right to Self-identification - “Rohingya leaders asked us not to call the Rohingya “Khaw Taw”, nor “Bengali”, nor Chittagonian Kalar (niggers), nor “Rakhine Muslims”. Instead they said their preferred and self-referential ethnic name was the Arabic word Rohingya....” [November 15, 1951]
In Burma, LIE Continues; TRUTH been Ignored.
