Eric Goldberg directed this test for Disney in 1998, which featured a CGI Roger Rabbit, very carefully posed to exactly match a 2D animation which had been done previously. Although having a CGI Roger Rabbit defeats the purpose of the character, and Roger is off model compared to Richard Williams' work, the CGI animation perfectly captures the original 2D work, and has a life to it missing in most CGI animation. Ironically this only goes to show how superior 2D animation still is ....
