The Thinker is about to slay the house down boots. 🪩

Artist @abstruselike just turned one of the world’s most famous sculptures into a giant disco ball…and the vibes are immaculate. 🤏

After spending hundreds of hours recreating the sculpture by hand and placing thousands of tiny disco ball mirrors on the figure, the Colorado sculptor completely yassified this Auguste Rodin masterpiece.

With her work, Lauren wants to challenge assumptions about art. “Why are some materials considered ‘fine art’ while others are reduced to arts and crafts?” she asks.

Her take on the Thinker is an “invitation to reconsider the hierarchies that shape art history and to recognize the communities, mediums, and makers that have too often been left outside the conversation.”
