In this video, we walk through how to install the Bixpy Rod Holder Adapter and mount a Bixpy K-1 Motor using a standard built-in kayak rod holder.
The Rod Holder Adapter is designed for kayaks that don’t have dedicated motor mounts. Instead of drilling or making permanent modifications, this setup uses the rod holder that’s already built into your kayak. We’ll show you how to secure the adapter, adjust the horizontal arm for proper motor alignment, and lock the vertical pipe and motor in place.
You’ll also see how steering works, whether you’re using your existing rudder system or adding Bixpy Pole Steering or tiller steering.
This installation is fully removable and compatible with most kayaks that feature standard built-in rod holders.
