Rocky Road Blues is a 12-bar bluegrass song. In this fiddle lesson I show the basic vocal melody, and explain the extra bar in line 3. I show a fancy fiddle version of the melody, with a tricky double stopped lick from Chubby Wise. I then show some options for backup fiddle, and finally an improvised solo using either the pentatonic scale, the major blues scale, or different scales for each chord.
