Created when producers of children's television actually thought children were intelligent and could follow a plot Jay Ward created Rocky and Bullwinkle and Bob Clampett created Beany and Cecil. Both these shows made history because the plots were complex, the dialog was quick and the humor was written on multiple levels at the same time.
