"Rockwell Hardness Testing" by Master Smith Kevin Cashen is Part 3 of 3 in the Phoenix Knife Project series. In this video Master Smith Cashen demonstrates several techniques for blade hardness testing including a Rockwell testor and files. The blade is then normalized. The Phoenix Knife was originally created by several members of the ABS Board, then disaster struck and it was damaged in a house fire. On its second life, several ABS Board Members contributed in the efforts to bring it back to life. This knife will be available on June 1, 2013 at the ABS Knife Auction during the Blade Show in Atlanta, GA.
