Rockstar just revealed the identity of the gta 6 hacker who leaked gameplay all over the internet and asked for ransom holding on to the gta 5 and gta 6 source code. Now rockstar games and uber are working in close coordination with the fbi to take down the hacker group lapsus surprisingly the hacker teapot is a 16 year old kid from oxford, england who now has a 100 star wanted level according to experts. Of course hackers know that the weak spot of a system are the humans working within it, this is why he used a social engineering trick called "mfa push bombing" to force a way into rockstar's system. There are clear patterns in these attacks previously the same cyber attacks happened to a lot of other big tech companies including ubisoft, electronic arts, microsoft, nvidia, samsung, activision blizzard, uber and now also rockstar games but there are many more victims. It's interesting to listen to the fbi assistant who explains how to respond to a ransom attack, you simply can't trust them on their words.
