Rockstar Garage Two Piece Hardtop Bracket Review

Hey everyone, if you watched my review of the EVS Tuning race spec roll bar you know that I ran into fitment issues with the OEM hardtop latches. It turns out that the OEM hardtop latches don’t clear the main hoop of the roll bar so you cannot secure the OEM hardtop. After failing to modify the OEM hard top latches I decided to look for an aftermarket solution. I found several one piece brackets on the market but I was interested in a two piece solution so that I could easily remove and install the OEM hardtop, with all of its trim. The only solution I could find was the Rockstar Garage 2 piece hard top brackets. Today I’m going to share my thoughts on them.

The good stuff
- These are the only hard top brackets that work with OEM hardtop trim and race spec roll bars
- Design makes accidental damage to pain less likely compared to OEM brackets.

The bad stuff
- No instructions or packing list
- Procedure to install and remove hardtop with brackets requires much more effort than OEM
- Fitment issues with stud and upper bracket
- Pricey

$Brake Fluid Gravity Bleed | AP1 Honda S2000 Hey everyone, today I’m going to show you how to gravity bleed your brake fluid on an AP1 Honda S2000. Gravity bleeding is convenient because you can do it all by yourself but the main drawback is that is takes much longer than the traditional the two person method. Anyways, onto the DIY. Difficulty: Intermediate Estimated time: 1.5 hours Tools necessary: - Turkey Baster - 10mm Wrench - Brake Fluid - Funnel - Rags - Clear hose - Container for brake fluid - Torque wrench for wheels Steps 1. The first thing you want to do is to prepare your workspace. Get your car on jackstands and remove the wheels. Then fit a rag near the brake fluid reservoir to catch any stray drops. 2. Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap and filter. Then remove as much fluid as possible from the reservoir using a turkey baster. Once the reservoir is as empty as possible clean the inside of the reservoir of any debris. 3. Fill the brake fluid reservoir with fresh fluid. This makes it so we have to bleed less fluid through the system. Move to the front right wheel to start the bleeding process. 4. Remove the bleeder cap and attach a 10mm wrench around the bleeder. Attach your clear hose on top of the bleeder opening and proceed to loosen the bleeder with the 10mm wrench. You should only need to loosen the bleeder a fraction of a turn. 5. As the brake fluid begins to flow make sure to position your container below the clear hose to catch the dripping brake fluid. Also, it is extremely important to keep the brake fluid reservoir topped to help the flow of fluid and ensure that no air is sucked into the system. *RANDOM TIDBIT* When different colored brake fluids used to be on the market it was much easier to tell when the system had completed bleeding because the fluid flowing from the bleeder would change color. As a general rule, I bleed each corner for 15-20 minutes. 6. When bleeding is complete tighten the bleeder using the 10mm wrench. Remove the clear hose, remove the 10mm wrench and replace the bleeder cap. 7. Repeat steps 4-7 for the left front wheel, the left rear wheel, and the right rear wheel in that order. If you want to speed things up you can bleed both rear wheels at the same time. 8. Top up your brake fluid if it isn’t already and replace the brake fluid filter and reservoir cap. 9. Re install your wheels, lower the car back to the ground and clean up your mess! Music: Keith Harris - One Trick Pony$
