The general purpose of this is simple. Run into the navi's EX versions and obliterate them... then go back into the area and face their SP forms. I needed to do two runs on each boss's SP form in order to get the chips I needed. As such, I did a shitty run and a perfect run for each boss just to get their EX and SP chips respectively. It is well worth it because this completes a huge majority of our Mega Chips library that we will need in a later part... *wink*
