This is an old video I found somewhere. The rocket sled hits a top speed of 10330km/h (mach 9.74) (6400+ mph) on a 16 kilometer rail. Used to be a world record.
The part in the middle of the video is a different segment and talks about John Stapp's acceleration to 1017km/h in 5 seconds and how he temporarily lost is his vision.
Then it goes back to the main segment about the unmanned rocket sled.
