@We produced a series of videos for the "Rocket" project, this one is about "Ademforsa".

A substantial part of the samples sent in to the forensic laboratory does not contain enough DNA in order to obtain a DNA profile. The swabs used for sample collection on a crime scene retain a large percentage (around 50% ≥) of the captured DNA in the fibres. In this research, ceramic devices are compared to standard cotton swabs in terms of extraction and recovery efficiency. The end goal is to make a biosensor that is able to detect the presence of human DNA in a sample.
