A playthrough of the LEGO Rock Raiders custom level "Lost", a map made by Retsnom Kcor (@RetsnomKcor) in 2009.
The map is a replacement for Back To Basics. No instructions or objectives were posted with the map, so the objective is left unchanged from the level it replaced. The level's oxygen rate was cut to 10% of its default value (30) because it was way too hard to complete otherwise. Debug keys had to be used to complete the level, as one of the crystal caches did not spawn due to a bug in the game. After completing it, I played through an edited version of it I made that made the lava lake hidden and fixed the crystal cache.
This map was originally the first in a series of three maps, but the other two are currently lost due to Cyrem deleting RRU's original file database without moving all the files to its replacement. Thanks.
Review: It feels a little unfinished. Right away, a huge amount of walls collapse due to being too thin, opening up a way to complete the level without exploring the southern tunnels – except then half of the map's crystals don't spawn due to more walls collapsing than the game can handle. I wasn't sure what the intended way to complete the map was, but I assumed the lava cave was supposed to be hidden. The area in the northwest also feels pointless.
One thing to always remember about Rock Raiders (and Manic Miners) is that walls of rock smaller than 2x2 will always collapse unless there is a hidden cavern on the other side of them.
But again, these are all old maps back when modding was new, and they're 13 years old now, so whatever.
