ROCK 4 A REASON:
On August 25th, 2018 something magical happened! A group of close personal friends got together to do the unthinkable ... to throw a private outdoor rock concert to benefit the BC Cancer Foundation and raise $30,000 to buy a critical piece of diagnostic equipment needed urgently here in Victoria. We not only raised the money, but we far surpassed our goal, raising over $47,000!!! Some of Canada's finest musicians performed to a sold out venue, with special guests Randy Bachman, Tal Bachman, 'The Static Shift' (winners of CTV's 'The Launch'), The Mighty Hughs, We The Few and our own ‘ROCK 4 A REASON House Band’. Our little committee consists of 9 of the most dedicated and compassionate people out there (if I say so myself) - Linda Brown, Gary Brown, Scott Johnson, Elaine Almeida, David Gibson, Marilyn Ball, Kelly Gillow Munro, Joanne Maclaren and Mick Dalla-Vee. Special thanks to Linda & Gary Brown as our venue hosts.
All of our hearts are overflowing with gratitude right now, and we are already looking forward to next year...
Our website (listed below) is still accepting donations. Maybe with your help we can buy a 2nd machine as well!
