I deeply enjoy escort and defense missions. Just inject the fun straight into my veins. I did not get mad while playing this.

Like most PS2 games, the sound mixing is a disaster. I’ve applied a compressor to the audio.
Regarding controls: The game is generally pretty good but I found the controls for guardian mode, the halfway between mech and jet, to be a bit wonky as you can’t move backwards. The analog stick only controls your altitude. In jet form, there’s no brake. Also, missiles can do some silly things. It’s not Ace Combat.
There appears to be some issues with missile, projectile and engine trails but I simply do not care.
For missions 31, 32 and 33, I switched to the VT-1D for the extra armor, but swapped back to the starting option as the penalty to everything else wasn’t worth it imo. For missions 41 to 44, I swapped to the VF-1S but swapped back to the default for mission 45 and then back to the VF-1S with its space armor for the final mission.
