From my blue original 3DS model (my 1st DS), April 29 2012. I was 7 years old.
Ok technically it’s a “floor cleaner” not vacuum, but it’s how I remembered it and in that similar category. I was so excited when we got this robot since I LOVED robots when little (and still do)! I considered it a little friend, just as I did my 3DSs and Wii, which is what happens when everyone in your elementary school including some teachers bully you to oblivion for years and you have no friends so feel lonely otherwise (this was way before my hamsters, cats and Aibos).
Anyways, it felt like having a little buddy around to watch in interest and fascination as it did its job. We had it before my cats Snowball and Tiny were even born (2015), so have no idea how they would’ve reacted as we haven’t used a robot vacuum since this one sadly stopped working.
But while it still worked, I took these photos of it, playing with different camera modes.
We bought it from Bed Bath and Beyond if I’m remembering right, which I recall was a pretty fun trip for me! Getting to look around and explore a new place was always interesting.
It was fun watching the robot travel around the house, and I felt bad for it when it got stuck behind the couch on low battery and was “calling” for help. I even remember its little jingle before it began cleaning. I wish I could remember what it was called, I’ll have to ask somewhere.
As it turns out, my mom got a new robot vacuum of a different brand, Roomba, after this one went, but never took it out of the box! Seeing these memories have made me curious though, and wondering if it would still work after all this time.
And looking at the last photos it looks like I, uh, shut it in my room for some reason and it got stuck in a corner trying to find the way out.
