SMART FRAME
smart.motoman.com/products/programming
The purpose of Smart Frame robot programming is to let non-expert users take advantage of the features of the YRC1000 robot controller without forcing them to spend a large amount of time and resources learning how to use it.
- Allows jogging of robot in human coordinates
- Allows variable speed based on finger position

The problem Smart Frame is trying to solve is making the jogging of the robot easier.
• Jogging
• Manually moving a robot using Pendant
• Need to specify the direction to go
• Conventionally X-Y-Z Frame

Disadvantages of Conventional Jogging
• Need to remember the directions. Difficult to new users
• What if you want to move the robot in the direction 45 degrees from the X direction?

Smart Frame provides two methods of jogging:
• Translation: Left/Right/Away/Toward buttons
• Rotation: Tilt the pendant to rotate the robot tool
