Not all our questions are answered. Based on some of the information that I have gathered through studying various texts as well as numerous videos purporting to reveal the history of tarot, I have come to my own conclusions.
My own notions hint that combining pips and major arcana is nothing more than grasping at straws by forcing two systems together where they never belonged. But then, as tarot was originally derived from gambling gaming systems, it wasn't originally intended as a divination system either.
So here are some of my imaginings about the history of tarot from cave painting on up to current times. Indulge me if you will.
