Robert De Niro stops by TODAY to talk about his new film “The Whisper Man,” what it was like to play co-star Adam Scott’s father, and how he drew on his own experiences as a dad for the role. De Niro also reveals his thoughts on the state of the film business: “It’s changing and there are some things you have no control over, some you do. We see that situation now with Paramount and Warner Bros.. I personally don’t think it's a good idea for them to merge,” he says. He also shares how he is keeping active after his 83rd birthday, and discusses the 50th anniversary of “Taxi Driver.”
