This is my submission for Austin Wintory's composition challenge. He gave us a series of 12 pitches and ask people to make something new with it. I learned about this contest on the last day! 😅 So, I went home and I tried to see what I could come up with in the limited time.
Initially I tried harmonize the melody notes with more non-functional harmony, but everything just sounded forced. So I opted for a more traditional harmonic progression. (I eventually went and listened to the source material of these 12 pitches and my harmonic progression is basically the same as Austin Wintory's.) The rhythm and tempo and passing chords are different and overall I had fun making something with these notes. I hope you enjoy it!
