While isolating with his parents in rural Cambridge, Rob Burton answered questions from Jean Broadbent on behalf of John Packer Ltd.
Rob, a young and exceptional new talent to the classical saxophone scene, answered questions about playing the saxophone, his practice routine, being a finalist in the 2018 BBC Young Musician of the Year competition, and his beautiful gold plated Yamaha saxophones.
London-based saxophonist Rob Burton won the Woodwind Category Final of BBC Young Musician 2018 and went on to secure a place in the Grand Final at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall, where he performed as concerto soloist with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
