This is a detailed review of the 230SEATBASE4 Lithium (LiFePO4) battery from Roamer batteries which I have just fitted to our Ducato based Adria Twin 640 SLB campervan. This compact unit replaced the two existing 100ah AGM batteries providing almost double the usable power whilst weighing less than half of the weight.
As one of Roamers 4th Generation range of batteries the 230Seatbase4 has built in active balancing which is more efficient than the standard passive balancing that most batteries use. This also makes it more compatible with chargers that do not have a specific Lithium charging profile since it will still balance the battery even if the charger doesn’t charge it to 100%.
This video focusses on the specifications and design of the battery, explaining all of its features and gives an overview of the installation in our campervan. A follow up video shall be released in a week or so which gives a more detailed run thru of the professional installation.
