I built three mindstorms engines in the roadster engine compartment to make all functions remote controlled. The roadster is quite heavy, though and the mindstorms motor's arent powerful enough to make it go fast. It is remote controlled with the NXTPad app, over bluetooth. I used an old windows mobile smartphone. Just google NXTpad to download it.
