“Winning Sheffield would be the biggest win of them all.”
Facing fierce competition throughout his entire powerlifting career - Keenan Lee prepares for his greatest battle yet as he goes against 11 other world-class athletes on the sport’s biggest stage.
Battling through recovery from hernia surgery and an adductor strain, Lee’s recent training suggests he will arrive at full strength, with lifts including a 370.5kg squat and 380kg deadlift.
Qualifying with a total of 101.01% of the previous 105kg world record, Lee will face off against fellow American Anthony McNaughton, with both targeting a 1,000kg total - a mark yet to be reached in the class.
