Aspiring commercial director | Cinematographer With a considerable background in the motorsports industry, his ability to direct motion is no less than stunning. Steve is a self-taught cinematographer following his intuition and act by feeling. Growing up shooting action sports had been the biggest contributing factor in his talent with filmmaking and this helped him to see things from different perspectives. He has progressed from making drift videos, to producing content for big companies in Greece and remarkable automotive companies around the world.
This short film was a special and challenging project for me and my team, as I wanted the film to have an 80’s feeling.
The challenge was to introduce some key elements into the story that would make a drift clip look like a standalone pursuit scene.
Filmed in really low light conditions across multiple camera platforms such as Sony FS700, Canon C300, Panasonic Lumix GH4 and Canon 6D.
Regarding the lighting style of the film, we primarily used a couple of barrels that we set on fire (first scene only), while for the rest of the shots we used fireworks as the main light source.
