Realistic Look: The Pitch Period - Episode 5: Mortal Kombat Movie
[WARNING: There's a small spoiler from the 1995 Mortal Kombat movie]
August 20, 1995. 2 days ago, the Mortal Kombat movie was released, and it was well-liked by fans but mixed among the critics. Sonic enjoyed the movie as well and also talked about how the MK characters themselves found the movie good enough, although it wasn't as gory or violent as the actual games.
Sonic noted that Liu Kang hoped for more good (or decent) video game movies such as this. But as the development for Sonic the Hedgehog: Wonders of the World hadn't happened yet, Sonic wanted the team to hurry up and get to the production as soon as possible.

Fifth episode of the video diary series. It's a talk on the 1995 Mortal Kombat film. I personally enjoyed the movie for the thrills and I didn't mind it being cheesy. Interestingly, it is a cult classic and it definitely influenced the game series (as you can see with the tributes in Mortal Kombat 11 and Shang Tsung's portrayal).
Also, first use of the uberduck.ai TTS with Jaleel White's voice. I experimented with the text input to get the pronunciations right, just like vo.codes (both are decent, though they also have low-quality voices that needed to be sorted out).
