Pros
- Very unusual design for a drone with only two folding arms (vice four).
- Comes with very nice carrying case for the drone and its transmitter.
- Available with or without optical flow feature. Although it costs a little bit more, recommend considering the optical flow version for ease of flight.
- Other flight features include altitude hold, headless mode, one key return (NOT return to home), and flip.
- Two bright LED lights on the nose to help maintain orientation.
- App is controlled through common 2.4Ghz WiFi. This version of WiFi is available on nearly all phones (5Ghz 802.11ac WiFi is NOT required).
- FPV in-flight video is viewed and recorded to your phone via the WiFi UAV app available on Google Play here bit.ly/WiFi_UAV and the app store here bit.ly/WiFiUAV_iOS .
- Camera lens can be manually tilted up or down.
- Available bundled with either one two or three batteries. Recommend considering at least two batteries, as you will not likely to be able to purchase spare batteries separately due to lithium battery shipping restrictions.
Cons
- Short flight time of about 6 1/2 minutes per battery.
- Not a true 4K camera. Instead video and photos are interpolated from the drone's lower resolution camera (electronically enlarged) to 4K resolution using the app. This does not improve the quality of the images.
- Brushed motor drone.
- Drone is best flown indoors, or outdoors on low wind days. It has difficulty flying into the wind.
- The lower pusher propellers are very low to the ground. You will need a very flat surface to takeoff from to avoid them hitting objects on the ground (recommend taking off from a flat piece of cardboard).
