River's Bridge SC State Historical Sit is a well preserved Civil War Battle Field in the Low County of South Carolina. There are very prominent Confederate Earthworks that can still be seen there today. The Salkehatchie River and swamp could not stop Sherman's March at this low country South Carolina battlefield. SC State Park Rangers are usually on hand and provide talks for visitors. This is a perfect day trip near Erhardt, SC. It covers 390 acres of land.
