"You are always here to me... and I always listen... and I can always see you."
As you may not have known, the relationship between The Doctor and River Song has been, quite possibly, my favourite aspect of the series for a while now, and since the finale, I've been in quite the biggest state of denial. On one hand, I feel like it was done in a way that allowed for the possibility of her return, whether its post-library, or pre-library (as we haven't really seen her be given the screwdriver, and sent to the library). On the other hand, it was almost THE perfect way to wrap this story up- wrap HER story up. Their story. So I'm torn. No matter what, though, I'd love to see more of them, and especially, more of River Song.

One of the funnier moments I've had so far with this relationship, was, during this seventh series, despite my love of Clara (who is an amazing companion, btw), I've been quite defensive of Eleven/River to the point where I'll be watching them in a close scene, or sharing that spark of chemistry they have, and be like "whoa, whoa, back off, he's married!" And I've never liked when fans are all, "The Doctor belongs with THIS character, and that's it." And I've seen that quite a lot, and realised I kind of turned into that during this series. But this show is all about change, and you know, he's loved before River, and he'll love after. I'm just glad her role in his life, and their time together, was acknowledged as something significant- they were married, and they were in love, and I don't think anyone can really sit there and tell me otherwise because of what we saw in this finale, and how it all tied together brilliantly.

I kind of wish we had a full season with those two, travelling together. I know that sounds kind of fan-wanky, but its something that I felt was needed after 'The Wedding of River Song', and especially once Amy and Rory left the show. I'd just love a block of episodes that involves those two, and always thought, for her send off, that's something we might have received. Again, I'm torn. I don't want to believe its over, and there's ways to work around it, but again, I've got until November to just accept whatever happens is going to happen, and be okay with either route. I don't know if it helps that we've seen her die in her introduction to the show, or made it worse. But I have loved every episode we've seen these two together in, and seen River Song, and they've been my favourite relationship on the show so far.

Side note: I found a REALLY great video done to this song while I was rendering (I really should research before I make videos) and I really hope the vidder isn't offended or feel cheated, like I've copied their idea. This song just SCREAMS them, and when the finale finished, I wanted to make a video for these two, and this song was always THE song for them, to me.

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy it! I found it hard to watch back because I MISS THEM ALREADY. But whatever. Shit happens. Hahaha, no. But god! They're so epic. I need to find an end point to this rant. So lets make it... now. :)
