The River Pi in James Gunn's Superman is made from billions of instanced cubes and an unstoppable current. The crew at Wētā FX pushed their renderer to its limits to create this highly dynamic and colourful river, driving fluid-sim motion that paced the river’s flow with every FX interaction between Superman and the current.
