The new Rive CLI and RML (Rive Markup Language) open up some powerful new workflows for working with Rive files, code, and AI agents together.

In this video, Gordon takes an existing rev file, converts it to RML, and explores the project using the Rive CLI alongside Claude.

From there, the agent cleans up Data Binding property names to follow consistent naming conventions, generates type-safe Dart bindings, and updates a Flutter app to use the riv file and generated code.

The graphic is then modified by the agent using RML to add another button, followed by focus states and accessibility semantics. The result is tested with keyboard focus and a screen reader.

RML makes the structure of a Rive file text-based, making it easier to update graphics and code in lockstep, generate type-safe runtime bindings, and keep changes under version control.
