This trial can be a bit of a pain both due to RNG and if you're not experienced in dodging attacks. Your turrets are basically just distractions/walls for this, they usually aren't going to live long because of the tubers. Generally you want to just keep dodging as long as you can to keep egg's regen up, and of course keep killing things to get more hits for leeching seed and harvester scythe.
Completing this trial unlocks Insecticide.
