Ohh this took longer but I'm really happy with it. I had a lot of fun making this. In the end, I did get a bit lazy and wanted to quickly finish this, so some of the drawings don't look as good and the timing is sometimes very off. oopsie :3
I wanted to experiment more with the colored, half-lineless style and that was fun to do. And then I got the random urge to animate wind.
Some more Nettlepool stuff for you :). Just her being sad about Wolfhowl, Frostbite and her apprentice Littlepebble.
Nettle is just very tired: during the day she has to deal with Wolfhowl and when she finally goes to sleep her dreams are constantly haunted by Frostbite. The only time she has some peace is at night before she falls asleep. She can sleep soundly for like a few minutes before Frost arrives to torment her with unimaginable nightmares.
And the other half of this animation shows her and her apprentice's relationship. At first, she is a bit nervous about becoming a mentor but quickly accepts it and sees it as a second chance to prove her worth as a medicine cat (She still felt very ashamed about not being able to save Frostbite's life). But sadly she is not the best mentor. Due to her problems with Wolf and Frost she has a hard time mentoring her apprentice. At first, the apprentice Littlepebble tries to put up with it but they also can't wait forever for their mentor to get better. And finally as the last resort, Littlepebble goes to Wolfhowl and asks if they could leave the clan and be apprenticed by one of the other clans' medicine cats since Nettlepool is failing at being a mentor. Wolf agrees and Littlepebble now has to travel between their own clan and the 2 other clans to receive a proper education. Nettlepool was blindsided by this decision and is very heartbroken to see her apprentice leave. She tries to change Littlepebble's mind but quickly backs off because she knows that they are better off with another mentor. Nettle silently resigns as a mentor (and also kinda as a med cat). Now Nettlepool is just completely broken and has no desire to do anything anymore. Even though Littlepebble is mad at Nettle for hindering their training, they don't hate her because they know that she isn't doing it on purpose. And every night when Little came back from their training, they would sleep next to Nettle to comfort her and also let her know that they got back home safely.
All the drawings are mine except that one silly png of pinecones i borrowed from Google. :)
