30 years ago, Rise of the Triad took FPS mayhem to a whole new level. Directed by Tom Hall, this over-the-top shooter introduced players to insane weapons, explosive gibs, and the legendary Dog Mode. Originally developed as a follow-up to Wolfenstein 3D, ROTT quickly became its own beast—packed with insane power-ups, gravity-defying jumps, and more bullets than any reasonable person should ever need.
A decade later, the 2013 remake brought the chaos to a new generation, keeping the spirit of the original alive. But in 2023, Apogee, @Nightdivestudios, and @NewBloodInteractive went full Ludicrous Mode with Rise of the Triad: Ludicrous Edition—a definitive remaster featuring restored content, modern enhancements, and the most polished ROTT experience to date.
