Lara must not only overcome Trinity but also the harsh wilderness of the Siberian mountains. The cold is as much a danger as bullets or wild animals up there. To get to the Divine Source first, Lara must trek through snow and ice, facing off against both wildlife and mercenaries.
First thing first: You need heat and shelter. Make your way through the blinding blizzard and find the materials you need, those being wood and animal skin. Just head straight past the old camp to the small trees and deer caracas in the clearing. Head back to the camp when you've got what you need.
After the cutscene, head down the trail and to the far side of your camp. There will be a tree you can climb up by a ledge. Make your way up there and head through the snow, finding out the source of the communications and flare.
To get away from the bear, sprint and jump off the makeshift ramps, staying out of the deep snow. Get into the habit of sprinting again the moment you touch down since it doesn't tend to carry through after a jump or fall. When it comes to fighting back, time your strikes carefully. You'll be able to rapidly melee it when in the bramble, but hold off until it gets close, only hitting it when its face is close to you.
