Hey hey, Bob Dylan I wrote you a song, ‘bout a funny old world thats’ a commin’ along…
Well, actually Percy Bysshe Shelley wrote the words but I’ve put them to music, and I did this with you in mind. The words are from, ‘The Mask of Anarchy’ and the first 38 verses in particular, which I’ve called, ‘Rise Like Lions’ - I’m going to do the rest of the poem, with, ‘What is Freedom’, the middle section and, ‘We are Many They are Few’, to end, 91 verses in all.
I wanted to do it for you as a thank you. A thank you for the unquantifiable, indescribable joy you’ve given me over the years. Your music is a soundscape to my life - each and every day, and just when I thought it couldn’t get any better… ‘Murder Most Foul’ comes along!
Tesla said, “In the Universe there is a core from which we can obtain knowledge, strength and inspiration” - it seems you have found the frequency to this core…
You’ll probably never get to hear my gift to you but I felt compelled to give it nonetheless.
Oh, and if you could send me a wav. of you reading aloud verses 39 - 64, my, ‘What Is Freedom’ section, that would be great. Well, if you don’t ask!
