I recently purchased some footage on Ebay that had a fair amount of footage of the California Zephyr and Rio Grande Zephyr. Combined with my own films from 1970 and Red Moser's several trips out west, I felt I had enough material to do a fairly comprehensive documentary of the route. I added in some extra footage from various sources to give an overview of freight operations also.
Apologies for the few Moser scenes that were copied on a light box to tape, they are not up to the same quality as the Wolverine scans, but these films were not available when I scanned the rest of his collection. The Zephyr sounds are from actual recordings on the train, while exterior sounds were from a variety of sources including Arkay Records, Bill Farmer's video of the Ski Train, and my own video library.
