During filming for our Cumbres & Toltec DVD, we recorded a number of scenes that were not used in the program. Here is an example when we encountered 487 at Cumbres Pass. After stopping for water, two military helicopters flew over. We continued to record the action including the train’s departure toward Antonito, NM. See DVD Preview here - youtu.be/G7m8uHNrJto
