"Born of a culture under the world and behind the light, Methar grew to become a creature obsessed with breaking free. His people regularly find cracks in the air and inhabit the bodies of people They find strong, although they don't last long. His motives are unknown, His power a mystery. His face is a bottomless whirlpool with the features of the people He's overwhelmed gasping for air. One day, the Prince [[Estel Firestar]] woke up to find one of his eyes a different color, and a gnawing pressure at the front of his skull."
"He was aware of the state of things, barely, as if seeing history pass from behind a fogged window. He pressed things he would later learn were called 'hands' against the surface and it bent like putty. He forced his self out and emerged out from behind the light into a world dominated by colors, sounds, and smells beyond what he had known. Briefly, he savored this new world before he was dragged, as if on a fishing line, through the air and across the continent into the body of a sleeping man. Methar had found his new host. He wouldn't get too excited until this one lasted longer than a year."
