Long Ago, before the fall of the Continent, Celestials lived high in the sky upon Starhenge. The Celestial of Fire, Furnoss, was known for patience and searing wisdom; though they’d occasionally suffer from boredom. Starhenge and their fellow Celestials were cool and all, but Furnoss often found themselves lingering on the thought of a place of their own, to relax and wind down, away from all the noise.
With a grand idea in mind, Furnoss set off to the Monster World, returning to their primordial place of origin: the Living Core. Deep under the volcano, right at the center of the Living Core, Furnoss spent much time constructing what has now become known as the Fire Resort. Finally, Furnoss had a place to chill out (despite being at the hottest place in the Monster World). However, Furnoss quickly realized that due to the extreme heat and presence of a vast pool of molten bubblerite overhead, the makeshift island would need someone to maintain and keep order on the Resort’s grounds when Furnoss was away! With the help of a fellow celestial’s mechanical expertise, Vhamp and Furnoss forged a monster of metal and mineral, the spritely Rin Ga-Ding. With a tinny ring of their bell, Rin Ga-Ding sets to work, keeping the Resort in tip-top shape, while additionally providing well-appreciated company to Furnoss during the Celestial’s occasional visits. At times, the stoic Furnoss would even loosen up while kicking back at the resort, and the two percussive monsters would duet fire beats long into the night.
The strange energy that brought Rin Ga-Ding to life and kept it running was not the Spark of Life, but rather a force known as Fire-Power: the direct product of the thriving lives of the Fire elementals (including Furnoss) during the Golden Age of the Monster World. However, the when the Cataclysm struck, the Fire Monsters fled, hiding within the Living Core. For the long and arduous centuries leading up to Fire Haven’s rediscovery, the Fire elementals’ energy and spirits diminished and dwindled away. Due to this tragedy, Furnoss’ Fire-Power also lessened and eventually extinguished upon the fall of Starhenge. And thus, Rin Ga-Ding and the Fire Resort were left abandoned and lost to time, eventually shutting down and going silent as Fire-Power dried up. Eventually, the spark of the Fire Monsters was re-ignited as they reunited with their Natural kin above. As time went on, Fire Haven and Fire Oasis provided enough room for the Fire Elementals to thrive once more and the rediscovery of the seed vaults upon Amber Island cemented the Fire Monsters’ return to the Monster World. On top of that, Furnoss’ ascension to an Adult form began to rekindle the Celestial’s own long dormant Fire-Power, culminating into the explosive reawakening of Rin Ga-Ding in the modern world!
Upon awakening, Rin Ga-Ding got straight to work in rejuvenating Fire Resort back to its former glory and mass producing maps that were shot out of the volcano and scattered across Amber Island. With a change of heart and awakening to hear the Monsters of Fire Haven singing above the Resort, Rin Ga-Ding opened up Fire Resort to the Fire natural monsters!
