Welcome to another episode of Challenger Approaching! In this series, we discuss characters who could find their way into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or future entries, then go into ludicrous detail on what they would be like if they joined the fight for real!
This episode takes us to the Galar region and its wild expanses and storied history. As the final evolution of the region's Grass type starter, Rillaboom has a prominent spot in Pokémon Sword and Shield and has quickly become a household name among Nintendo fans. While the future is uncertain regarding Smash, if a newcomer was chosen from Pokémon's 8th generation then Rillaboom would likely be on the short list.
