Formed in 1989 Right Said Fred rose to fame in 1991 with the release of 'I’m Too Sexy’.
‘I’m Too Sexy reached the Billboard US #1 slot in Feb 1992, making it the first debut single since The Beatles to achieve that chart position. The band also have another 3 Billboard US#1 writing credits to their name with Taylor Swift: ‘Look What You Made Me Do’, Beyonce: ‘Alien Superstar’ and Drake ‘Way 2 Sexy’. Other writing credits include Sugababes: ‘Get Sexy’, The News: ‘Stand Up (For the Champions)’, Sofi Tukker: ‘Batshit’.
Their debut album ‘Up’ reached #1 and Multi-Platinum status. ‘Fredhead’ and ‘Stand Up’ albums were both top 10. ‘Stand Up (For the Champions)’ has become a sports anthem, being used at The World Cup, Premier League, NFL, South African Official Sports anthem + many more.
