-Hana-Rawhiti Kareariki Maipi-Clarke is a New Zealand politician, representing Te Pāti Māori as a Member of Parliament since the 2023 New Zealand general election. She is the youngest MP since James Stuart-Wortley.
The New Zealand Treaty Principles Bill was a controversial 2024 legislative proposal by the ACT Party that sought to redefine the 1840 Treaty of Waitangi, aiming to create universal legal equality but facing massive opposition for potentially undermining Māori rights. It was voted down in its second reading on April 10, 2025, with 112 votes to 11
