"FREE GIRL" marks the 20th anniversary since the Japanese singer-songwriter's debut, blending nostalgia with neo-retro synth-pop vibes. This collection of tracks meticulously crafted with analog synth paints a powerful and radiant image of women who shine from within--songs that resonate with both male and female listeners alike, offering a bold sense of empowerment and confidence. The album is co-produced by longtime collaborator, synth-pop and film music maestro Tadashi Ueda, and the sonic wizard Hikaru Ishizaki. Paying homage to Japanese synth-pop legends like YMO, while carving out a distinct melodic identity, "FREE GIRL" emerges as a one-of-a-kind neo-retro pop masterpiece.
