In 1991, I brought GG Allin to Tampa Florida to record, what would eventually become, Carnival of Excess. During that week, we worked on several projects and also did a few events. One of the events was in In-Store meet and greet at the Alternative Record store in Tampa. The event was scheduled for two hours, which went the duration. It was packed. We had been heavily indulging since GG’s arrival, so we thought it best not to drive there, so we decided to take a limo. When I saw GG at the Harbor Club a few years earlier in 1989, never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be riding in a limo with him, just a few short years later. He had a fun time riding around Tampa getting lubed up and primed for the event. I’m going to be doing an episode about the In-Store itself, but wanted to share some of this Classic footage from the ride to the event. After it was over we went back to the house, went swimming and indulged into the wee hours of the morning. The In-Store was a great success and all was good. A fun day in Tampa’s music history!
